Notifications

The Notifications page gathers everything that concerns you, across all your servers: absence requests to approve, applications, security alerts, tickets, system messages. It replaces the former inbox.

The tabs at the top sort the inbox:

TabContent
InboxCurrent notifications, read or not.
UnreadOnly the ones you have not read yet. The tab’s counter tallies them.
ArchivedThe ones you put away. They stay available.

Two lists narrow the display down:

  • Server: All servers, or a single one. The list also includes servers that sent you notifications even if you no longer have access to them.
  • Category: All categories, or one of the nine - Team, Planning, Recruitment, Moderation, Security, Tickets, Partnerships, Community and System.

Notifications load in batches: Load more shows the next ones. When there is nothing, the page says All clear.

Each notification shows its category and its server. Several notifications of the same kind, close together in time, are grouped into a single line that reads N in total.

ButtonEffect
OpenOpens the item concerned in the dashboard, on the right server.
Mark as read / Mark as unreadChanges its state without moving it.
Archive / Move back to inboxPuts it in the archives, or takes it out.
DeleteRemoves it from your inbox.

Some notifications carry a decision. An absence request and a resignation request show Approve and Reject right away: the decision goes through the module concerned, with its own permissions, then the notification moves to the archives.

At the top of the page, Mark all as read clears the counter (for the server picked in the filter, if any), and the refresh button reloads the list.

The page’s Settings button opens My preferences, where the What you receive grid sets three channels, category by category:

ColumnEffect
DashboardThe notification shows up on this page and in the bell.
DMKotbo also sends it to you as a direct message on Discord.
Daily summaryThe category’s DMs arrive as a single message each morning. DM must be on.

The grid is saved to your account: it applies to all your servers, and to the bot’s DMs as well as the dashboard.

Every notification DM carries a Stop this type button, except the ones that always get through. One click turns off DMs for that category; Kotbo confirms and reminds you that you can turn them back on from the dashboard. DMs of the same category sent a few moments apart are grouped into a single message.
