Staff discipline
Discipline handles misconduct inside the team: internal warnings, blacklist, and automatic sanctions triggered by accumulation.
Internal warnings
Section titled “Internal warnings”Issuing a warning
Section titled “Issuing a warning”Click New warning
The form opens.
Point at the target member
The search covers staff members; the Discord ID fills in automatically.
Describe the misconduct
The Reason for the warning field expects a precise description of the facts.
Set an expiry date
Then click Sanction.
Following warnings
Section titled “Following warnings”At the top, Members near the threshold lists those who would reach the demotion threshold with one more warning. Search covers the member or the reason, and the filter switches between In force, Expired and All. Delete the warning offers to undo the deletion for a few seconds.
The table shows the Member, Reason, Issued by, Date, Status and Actions columns. A warning stays Active until its expiry date, then turns Expired.
Automation & sanctions
Section titled “Automation & sanctions”The configuration button at the top of the page opens Automation & Sanctions, which defines what happens when a member accumulates warnings.
At a given threshold (in number of warns), you can trigger:
- Remove roles (Demotion): strips every staff role.
- Permanent blocklist: the member is banned from staff by default.
Staff blacklist
Section titled “Staff blacklist”The blacklist cuts off a user’s access to the team entirely: they can no longer be added to staff or apply.
- Click Blacklist.
- Point at the member to blacklist.
- Fill in the Reason for exclusion.
- Set a Blacklist end date, or leave it empty for a permanent exclusion.
- Click Add to blocklist.
Each entry carries the Blacklisted badge, its reason and its end date (or the Permanent label). The Remove from the blocklist button lifts the exclusion.
When nobody is blacklisted, Kotbo shows No user is currently on the staff blacklist.
Link with recruitment
Section titled “Link with recruitment”A blacklisted user cannot be onboarded through the Recruitment module. A failed oral interview separately applies a one-month wait before any new application.
