Sanctioning and following a member

Every sanction goes through a single command, /sanction, and leaves a trace in the member’s case file. What you do from Discord and what you do from the dashboard feed the same record.

+/sanction warnmembre:@Camilleraison:Spamin#generalgravite:Light
  • /sanction warn: Adds a warning. The gravite option weighs into the score when weighting is enabled.
  • /sanction to: Applies a timeout, auto-renewed when the duration exceeds what Discord accepts.
  • /sanction kick: Kicks the member from the server.
  • /sanction ban: Bans permanently.
  • /sanction tempban: Bans for a given duration.
  • /sanction softban: Bans then immediately unbans, which deletes the member’s messages from the last seven days.
  • /sanction tableau: Applies the next step of a progressive scale, named in the command. The bypass option forces a specific tier.
  • /sanction list: Lists a member’s sanctions.

Every sanction takes a raison (reason), and durations are written plainly: 30m, 2h, 3d, 1 week.

Discord hides /sanction from anyone without the Timeout Members permission, and /clear without Manage Messages. Finer restrictions - per role, per channel - are set in Command access.

  • /casier voir: Opens a member’s full case file. The id option looks up somebody who already left the server.
  • /note: Writes or edits a member’s moderation note, visible to the staff only. The Moderator note context menu does the same on a right-click.
  • /rescan: Runs a fresh scan of the server’s members.
  • /request-verification: Asks a member to pass a security verification. They are timed out while it lasts. Context menu: Request verification.

The View Case File context menu, on a right-click on a member, opens the same record.

+/clearnombre:50

/clear deletes a set number of messages in the current channel. The membre option limits the purge to one person’s messages.

  • /transcript generer: Generates the current channel’s transcript, over a nombre of messages or a temps window.
  • /transcript liste: The server’s latest transcripts.
  • /transcript rechercher: Searches transcripts by channel name.
  • /transcript supprimer: Deletes a transcript, administrators only.

Two context menus round it off, this time on a right-click on a message: Transcribe from this message and Transcribe with context.

Transcripts are then read back from the dashboard, in the Transcripts tab of the Tickets page.

A right-click opens Apps → Kotbo actions, a panel gathering the everyday gestures with no command to type. It comes in two flavours, depending on what you clicked, and only shows the actions your permissions allow.

Open to everyone: Traduire le message (translate), Sauvegarder en MP (save to DM), Donner de la réputation (give reputation) and Signaler ce message (report).

Staff only:

  • Épingler / désépingler (pin): requires Manage Messages.
  • Purger jusqu’ici (purge up to here): requires Manage Messages.
  • Créer un thread (create a thread): requires Create Public Threads.
  • Supprimer + avertir (delete and warn): requires Timeout Members.

Open to everyone: Niveau et rang (level and rank), Infos du compte (account info) and Donner de la réputation (give reputation).

Staff only:

  • Timeout rapide (quick timeout), Détection de double compte (alt detection) and Comptes liés (linked accounts): require Timeout Members.
  • Renommer (rename): requires Manage Nicknames.
  • Envoyer un MP via le bot (DM through the bot) and Historique d’invitation (invite history): require Manage Server.

  • /role add and /role remove grant or remove a role to several members at once.
  • /channel manages the server’s channels from Discord.
  • /report reports a member to the server staff; the Report this message context menu does the same from a message. The receiving channel and the delay between two reports are set in the anti-raid page.
  • /signal escalates a user to the bot’s administrator, not to the server staff: keep it for cases that go beyond your community. Context menu: Report this user.
